Textiles have always been an important part of my life,  both stitching and gaining knowledge of the historical and geographical aspects.  I really enjoyed doing City & Guilds Part 1 and 2 in Creative Embroidery when I gained so much knowledge and enjoyed meeting like minded people who have remained good friends. 

My textile practice is currently informed by social and cultural identity, I find the research for a new project as interesting as the finished piece.  I mostly work in hand stitch on a background I have created myself.
