About Felicity

My main creative stimulus is cloth and stitch. It mirrors everyday life, as clothing, bedding, household textiles and work. It carries memories, expresses qualities of touch and acquires marks and signs of wear and tear over time. I enjoy markmaking with stitch and the accidental marks caused by dye process, stitching and layering.

Taking inspiration from the natural environment, evidence of the past, and marks left behind, I work with stitch and markmaking in a range of media including textile art, hand made paper, and mosaics (a relatively new venture!).
