Jacqueline Glyde

About Jacqueline

My childhood, in a creative family, was spent in many rural areas of this country, where I developed a love of the sea, land and the natural world. I am still inspired by landscapes, water and gardens. My pocket gardens are intricate embroidered gardens hidden in boxes. I enjoy the challenge of making a box that has a surprise when it falls open. My work has been exhibited through Cambridge Open Studios, Art Unequalled and the Babylon Gallery at Ely Cambridgeshire. It is also in private collections in Britain, Japan and Australia. As I travel around I am always inspired by my surroundings and the possibilities for future textile projects.
