I saw patchwork quilts in Canada in 1988, and I recalled the feel of my grandmother’s crazy quilt. I took a class, and was hooked. Six years later I won my first national championship. I preferred to design my own quilts, and soon found myself travelling around the country and abroad, spreading my love of patchwork and quilting. My B.Ed., specialising in art, came in useful! I had a teacher’s stand at various quilt shows, selling my patterns and techniques.
I became a Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, but resigned after a few years as life took another direction. Today I am a member of The Eagle Gallery in Bedford, and exhibit and sell my work there regularly. Look on their website to see more of my work.
