Laura Guida

I love all things textile though I focus on feltmaking and silk painting as my chosen mediums. I have a passion for colour and love to work with rich, colourful fibres. Over recent years I have started to experiment with natural dyes and enjoy the surprising and unexpected results sometimes achieved.

I enjoy making wearable items such as scarves and finding ways to incorporate my textile work into jewellery, particularly the combination of soft felt with silver and other metals.

I participate in the teaching programme at a local arts charity, Corner Nine Arts Project, working on community arts projects and after school workshops.
