Saturday 18 March 2023
St Mary's Church Hall, Old Town, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 3AF

This members’ day was a great opportunity for a social meet-up for ERTF members and a chance to catch up on current projects as well as swapping/selling any textile/craft items no longer needed.
Doors opened at 9.30am for a 10am start and the day ended at 4pm.
As well as a useful opportunity to swap/sell stash items, two members gave fascinating talks. Catherina Petit-van-Hoey spoke movingly about The Art of Grieving and how art explorations had sustained her after the death of her younger daughter a decade earlier. There were many super resources and contacts shared and the moving talk prompted thoughtful discussion. Cherry Taylor then spoke about her very interesting dye/discharge, print and stitch technique. Examples of her wonderful textures were circulated. A great way to enthuse everyone as we think about our own work – and future ERTF exhibitions.
Thanks to Catherina for great organising!
