I normally do sporadic open house studio events where I show my work and that of other artists of different disciplines. They have always been a cross between an exhibition and a selling event with on tap tea and cakes and I usually collect money for a couple of charities. My husband died with MS and so that has always been one of the charities I support.
I have an old house with a lot of space and generally clear out the downstairs for these events.
In this strange time (2020) I have come up with a way of trying to keep doing something similar and so I have given over a couple of the big rooms to a permanent gallery showing my work and that of other artists and am inviting people to see me at work in my studio at any mutually convienient time which can be arranged by phone with me (and subject to overriding Government Covid-19 regulations).
I am not taking commission from any of the artists showing and I am welcoming people who would like to just look as well as those who might want to buy work and inviting donations to the MS society and Respond (A small charity supporting people with learning difficulties who have suffered trauma)
